Kind. Compassionate. Care.

MotherCare is a non-profit organisation transforming hospital wards into places of hope where mothers and babies receive the breastfeeding and birth support they deserve.

Because every baby and every mother deserves nurturing care.

The Heart Behind MotherCare

Inspired by a calling to bring warmth and humanity into the earliest moments of life.

MotherCare was born from a deep calling to protect and support newborn babies and to stand by the mothers who love them. What started as a simple desire to help babies thrive has developed into a model of care that supports the dyad during the most tender moments of life.

We currently operate within the Paarl government hospital and community, providing gentle, hands-on care that prioritises babies' needs while uplifting their mothers. Through emotional support during labour, breastfeeding guidance, and staff training, we are fostering a kinder and more compassionate approach to infant and maternal wellbeing.
